What stays. What leaves.

Where SwarmPane keeps data on your computer, and what leaves it: your coding CLIs, your sign-in, cloud voice, Jev Conductor and update checks.

What stays on your computer

Your project files stay where they are. SwarmPane keeps its own data on the computer running the app: conversations, teammates and their memories, workflows, settings, Undo checkpoints, and the copies of your project that Agent Race and Overnight Autopilot work in. None of it is synced between computers or copied to SwarmPane’s service. Settings → Storage lists the copies left over from runs and removes the ones you choose.

Your SwarmPane sign-in is encrypted with your operating system’s secure storage. On Linux without a keyring, SwarmPane asks before keeping it in a private file instead.

  • Every computer: the .agentra folder in your home folder (~/.agentra, or %USERPROFILE%\.agentra on Windows).
  • Mac: also ~/Library/Application Support/SwarmPane, and the app’s log in ~/Library/Logs/SwarmPane.
  • Windows: also %APPDATA%\SwarmPane.
  • Linux: also ~/.config/SwarmPane.

Your coding agents and their providers

Claude Code, Codex and the other CLIs run on your computer. They send your prompts, the files they read and their context to their own providers, under your provider accounts. That traffic goes from each CLI to its provider without passing through SwarmPane’s service, and each provider’s own terms and privacy settings apply.

The CLIs’ sign-ins stay in their own folders on your computer. Accounts you add in Settings → Agents get a folder of their own in ~/.agentra/accounts. SwarmPane doesn’t upload them.

What SwarmPane’s service receives

SwarmPane’s service runs your account and plan. It receives your content only when you use cloud voice or Jev Conductor.

  • Sign-in and plan checks: while the app runs, it asks the service whether your plan is active, with its desktop sign-in. Nothing about your projects is sent.
  • Cloud voice (Pro, on a Mac): each recording goes to the service, where Whisper large v3 turbo transcribes it on Cloudflare Workers AI. The audio and the text are dropped once the words are back. The service keeps the seconds you used and each request’s length, timing and outcome, never its words. With Whisper on your Mac, the audio never leaves it.
  • Jev Conductor (beta): the task and recent agent output, as the next section describes.

Jev Conductor (beta)

Jev Conductor gives a task to one of your coding agents, runs your checks, and when a check fails decides what happens next. When Jev picks an agent or the next step, the app sends SwarmPane’s service the task, your success criteria and check command, the agents you enabled, and recent output: at most the last 4,000 characters of the agent’s reply and the last 2,000 of your checks’ output. Recognized secrets, such as API keys and tokens, are removed first.

SwarmPane’s service passes that to TypeSafe’s API (api.typesafe.ai), which runs the Jev model and returns its choice. The service keeps the decision and the number of tokens it used, to count your Jev tokens. It doesn’t keep the task or the output.

Starting a Conductor run asks you to allow this: “Share the objective and limited execution evidence with TypeSafe through SwarmPane for routing.” If you pick the lead agent yourself and its first attempt passes your checks, nothing is sent. Project content can appear in agent or check output, so check what your commands print. No other SwarmPane feature uses Jev.

Other connections

  • Updates: the app checks downloads.swarmpane.com for a new version and downloads it from there. The check sends nothing about your projects.
  • Whisper models download from Hugging Face when you choose one in Settings → Voice & Dictation.
  • Video Studio (Labs) can download fonts from Google Fonts and animation libraries from jsDelivr or unpkg into a video project when its agent asks for them.
  • MCP servers and plugins you add, Remote SSH connection tests, workflow steps that call a URL, and the Browser pane connect to the services, servers and sites you point them at.
  • The desktop app sends no analytics or crash reports.

Logs and diagnostics

The app keeps a log of its own messages on your computer, at most about 2 MB. Recognized secrets are removed before a line is written, but a line can include a file or project name, or an error a coding tool printed. The log isn’t sent anywhere.

Settings → General → Export diagnostics saves your build details, feature counts and the end of the log to a file, without conversations. You decide whether to share it.

Your account, and deleting it

The website keeps your account (email, name and sign-in records) and your plan’s status. Stripe keeps your payment details. The Privacy Policy lists what is stored, who processes it and for how long.

To delete your SwarmPane account, contact support. Deleting it doesn’t remove files on your computer or data your coding providers hold. To remove SwarmPane’s data from a computer, uninstall the app, then delete the folders listed above; that also deletes your conversations, workflows and Undo checkpoints.
